AI & HR: A Partnership in the Making

At first glance, “AI in HR” might sound counterintuitive, and for good reason! After all, the word human is right there in the title. However, AI is proving to be a powerful ally for HR professionals. By automating many of the routine, time-consuming tasks once managed manually, AI allows HR teams to shift their focus toward more strategic, forward-thinking initiatives. For small business owners without a dedicated HR department, it’s also opening doors to implement and support key HR functions more effectively. Yet, despite AI’s impact, people remain at the heart of a successful HR operation. Human expertise remains essential in ensuring AI is used responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with laws and regulations.

Along with considerations leaders should keep in mind to make the most of AI advancements, Flex HR identifies three key areas where AI is proving most impactful in HR: streamlining recruitment, automating payroll and benefits, and supports employee engagement.

Flex HR Obtains a Spot on the Inc. 5000 List!

Once again, Flex HR is honored to have earned a position on the Inc. 5000 list – an annual ranking of the nation’s fastest growing private companies. Inc. 5000, widely considered America’s entrepreneurial benchmark, creates their list by ranking US companies based on three years of annual revenue growth. As a small company with big impact, Flex HR is incredibly proud of this achievement year after year.

Since its founding in 2001, Flex HR has grown considerably.  Our 2025 Inc. 5000 national ranking is 3,704, which holds fairly steady from last year. In addition to the national ranking, Flex HR ranks 179th in Georgia, and 105th in HR industries. We’re excited and grateful this is the fifth time making the Inc. 5000 list.

From Paychecks to Perks: Developing a Strategic Total Rewards Program

If business leaders have learned anything over the past decade, it’s that the incoming generations of workers value not only good pay, but good perks. This has made the development of total rewards programs crucial in both hiring and retaining employees. Unlike previous generations, it’s not just salary and benefits that matter. Self.inc reports that Gen Z values work-life balance, making friends, and company culture ahead of salary – and these are statistics worth our attention. According to Flex HR’s Alisa Kline in a recent Flex HR webinar, “There is a huge shift in the way that we need to evaluate compensation and total rewards happening in the workplace right now. In just a few years, Millennials and Gen Z are going to be the majority of the workforce. It’s really important that we start implementing some of these newer evaluations and priorities now.”
