Jennifer Morehead Flex HR CEO

Jennifer Morehead

Jennifer “Jenny” Morehead is the CEO of Flex HR. She is an entrepreneur, sales and marketing expert, independent board member, and author. She prides herself on building strong teams that exceed expectations for their clients. Before Flex HR, Jenny successfully launched and ran a company that created marketing solutions for local businesses through the country. She created a high growth environment for the business and ran human resources in addition to her duties as CEO. Before her marketing solutions business she helped run a sales department at a media company that included roles in recruiting, hiring, and putting together new employee training sessions.

 

Jenny earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Jenny co-authored Make Your Business Social, which was published by New York-based Business Expert Press. She has also written CEO From Home, expected in 2021 from John Hunt Publishing. CEO From Home details how people can start, acquire or maintain a virtual business and features important human resources advice throughout the book.

 

Jenny is married to her husband Brad and has three sons. She serves on numerous boards including the leadership council for the Field Museum, the regional council for Northwestern University, and the guild of the Chicago Botanic Garden.

Jim Cichanski

President and CEO of Flex HR, Inc., Jim has 30+ years experience in human resources, holding senior level positions in companies that were privately held, pre-IPO, foreign owned, joint venture, Fortune 50 and one labeled the “fastest growing F1000 in America.” He has a solid background in high tech, manufacturing, services and management.

 

His background in human resources includes organizational process evaluation and improvement, labor laws, integration of businesses, cost reduction, organizational development, and all functional areas of human resources. These include but are not limited to Benefits, Compensation, Staffing, Diversity, ERISA, DOL Compliance, Immigration, Learning & Development, Stock Administration, Executive Compensation, Employee Relations, and over 300 Mergers & Acquisitions. Jim’s experience includes operational HR management knowledge globally in 32 countries, and has transitioned companies from 30 to 67,000 employees worldwide. Companies he has worked for include UnisysNovellPremiere Technologies and PaySys International. Jim is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

 

Jim also spent 26 years in the Army National Guard achieving the rank of Colonel, was inducted into the Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame, and received numerous awards including the Legion of Merit. Jim holds a BA in Applied Behavioral Sciences, is a graduate of the Department of Defense Equal Opportunity Institute, has served on the board of HealthSource of Georgia, and was an inside board member of 17 companies. He is an active member of many HR professional organizations.

 

Inc. Magazine in September 2008, 2012 and 2013 recognized Flex HR, Inc. as an Inc 5000 “Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in America”. In 2008, Jim was recognized by the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce as The “Small Business Person of the Year.” And recently, Catalyst Magazine recognized Flex HR as 1 of 18 Companies CEO’s in Atlanta would like to own. Jim is married to his wife Eldeen for 40 years and has two daughters. He recently served on the Board of Directors for HomeStretch.

Sonya Alexander

HR Consultant

Sonya is an innovative human resource professional with more than 30 years in HR roles, and 15 years as a top HR executive. Sonya brings so much talent to Flex HR, as she is highly skilled in human resource strategy, organizational culture, legal compliance, policy formulation, process improvement, labor/employee relations, compensation and benefits, risk management, HRIS system implementation, talent recruitment and retention.

 

Sonya creates strong people teams with her collaborative leadership style. She has worked for organizations in the pharmaceutical and community banking industries. Sonya’s passion is building and sustaining a positive work culture through change management solutions and employee experience. Sonya is well-equipped with various HRIS management systems and is experienced in consolidating and implementing the standardization of policies, compensation, onboarding, and benefits processes.

 

Sonya has worked with diverse boards, sub-committees of boards, auditors, and regulators. Sonya received her BA in human resources from Georgia Southern University.

 

When Sonya is not working, she enjoys time at the beach, specifically in Hilton Head. Her son is graduating soon with a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and she couldn’t be prouder.

Megan Carpenter

She is very results- oriented, leading human capital through diverse business cycles and has an extensive background working with high-growth, start-up and multiple, high-volume organizations. Philip A. Davis

Senior Vice President

Phil Davis has a broad background in human resources and organization development, including senior level experience with companies broadly recognized for their progressive human resources practices such as General Electric, Frito-Lay, and Pitney Bowes. His industry experience includes manufacturing, foods, IT consulting and national and international sales/marketing organizations. As a corporate executive, Phil has performed at the business leadership level since 1980. Phil is highly accomplished at helping organizations grow, building organizations and infrastructure, and in tailoring Human Resources programs and initiatives to the exact requirement of organizations in high change environments.

 

His accomplishments include 1) supporting the development and implementation of a consumer focused marketing and sales organization at GE-Lighting to reverse revenue/price erosion and the thwart industry trends toward private label and generic products; 2) the commercial integration of Borg Warner Chemicals into GE-Plastics in 120 days thereby retaining critical commercial talent; 3) the divestiture and process re-engineering of Monarch Marking Systems from Pitney Bowes to Paxar creating an additional $100 million in market value; 4) the consolidation of eight of M.A. Hanna’s plastics compounding businesses achieving dramatic reductions in product development and product delivery cycles; and 40) the development and implementation of a full suite of support systems for the consolidation of five free standing IT consulting firms that together formed PSINet Consulting Solutions.

Shannon’s proficient track record includes increased direct-hire placements among teams, high client retention and rapid job placements for mid-level to executive roles in a variety of industries. Her dedication and exceptional abilities have consistently yielded high growth within organizations throughout her profession.

 

She earned both her BS in Psychology and BA in Sociology from University of New Orleans, and an MA in Industrial/Organization Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. Most recently, she has completed her coursework toward a Doctorate in Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

 

Shannon is distinguished by certified credentials that signify her expertise and dedication to the highest degree of professionalism. She is a Certified Staffing Professional as well as a Certified Search Consultant with the American Staffing Association. She is also a dynamic presenter and speaker having led numerous workshops for various organizations. Using her mastery and leadership abilities, Shannon is invariably passionate about her goal to positively impact the lives of others.

 

She enjoys volunteering with her church and local nonprofit, Empower225, and serves on two organizations in Chicago as a Board member. Jenn Davis

HR Consultant

Jenn comes to Flex HR with extensive HR generalist experience working for an Insurance Fortune 500 company focusing on Employee Relations, Quality Assurance, Process Design & Improvement and Training. Her broad knowledgebase in compliance, complex employee relations investigations, talent management and development, onboarding, education facilitation, succession planning, and workforce transition planning make her an asset to Flex HR’s team.

 

Recently, Jenn conducted a complex high-profile investigation to which the case resulted in litigation where the company was awarded substantial damages, due to facts and extensive evidence obtained during the investigation.

 

Jenn has a passion building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and strategic client advisor/business partners with strong problem solving and people skills.

 

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an HR  concentration and minor in Psychology from North Carolina State University. Jenn has her PHR certification and is also certified with SHRM.

 

Jenn has been married to her songwriter husband for over 22 years, and they reside just outside of Nashville, TN. Jenn keeps busy with their two daughters, one who attends the University of North Alabama in Florence, AL, and the other who plays high school volleyball. She spends a lot of time watching her compete at school and on the road throughout during volleyball club season. In her spare time Jenn enjoys spending time on the lake boating with friends and family and spending time with their Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix dog, Lucy.

Cindy Durden

Cindy is an accomplished leader with a history of success and experience in all aspects of human resource management, including planning and leading human resource programs, employee relations, building effective teams and ensuring enterprise compliance and reporting (OFCCP, EEOC and Vets 100) along with Inclusion and Diversity initiatives. Throughout her career, Cindy has worked closely with business leaders to identify management/employment development needs and design, implemented, and facilitate training.

Cindy’s passion is working with new leaders to help them build effective teams and realize their goals. Currently Cindy is working as a consultant in the HR/Talent Management Industry, targeting small to medium companies with a need for all things HR. Abby Duran

She joins Flex HR as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in achieving business results through people has helped her inspire trust and team engagement through transparent communication, setting realistic expectations, celebrating achievements and failures, all with a sense of humor. Abby’s experience has spanned diverse industries including technology, beauty and consumer products, luxury retail, sports and entertainment, non-profit and legal, with emphasis on talent development, employee engagement and communications, re-structures and the “people integration” aspect of mergers and acquisitions.

 

Abby’a recent consulting focus has been on executive coaching and human resources advisory, centering on agile start-ups, private equity, non-profits and small-to-mid-size companies.  A strong believer in proactively growing talent for key roles, she specializes in providing individual coaching for “leaders on the rise” and clients in the midst of career transitions.

 

As a journalism major and former business reporter, Abby was able to segue her writing skills and curiosity to interviewing candidates and matching them with their dream jobs as a recruiter. Abby’s most pivotal experience was as Vice President HR for various business units and brands at L’Oréal USA, spanning a 21-year tenure, that encompassed different channels of distribution in mass market, luxury, professional hair care, and dermo-cosmetics categories as well as supply chain.  She further solidified her experience with mergers, acquisitions, and scaling businesses for growth, while building teams for launches of L’Oréal’s European brands in the US market. Perviously, Abby was Chief Human Resources Officer at Saks Off 5th, the off-price luxury retailer with 100+ stores in the US and Canada, where she rebuilt the HR function, following a restructure of the company’s business model. She oversaw the COEs of Employee Experience (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Development, DEI), Total Rewards and the HR Business Partner & Employee Relations teams.

Barry E. Flink

Executive Vice President & Partner

Barry Flink has over 35 years of management experience in multiple industries. Concentrated in HR, he has also managed several companies involved in the hospitality, restaurant operations, nonprofit, logistics and commercial real estate.

 

Barry has core competencies in: Hospitality Management (hotels, restaurants, institutional foodservice), Human Resources (employee relations, compensation, labor relations, management development and, organizational development) General Management (strategic planning, marketing, public relations, process management, urban infrastructure, leadership and, mergers & acquisitions).

 

Barry served in a number of corporate executive positions. As Vice President, Human Resources for Wells Fargo Armored Service Corporation, he reengineered the human resources and legal department, and brought substantial cost savings to the Corporation. As Sr. Vice President of LEP Profit International, a global freight forwarder, Barry was a key player in the successful merger of Profit Freight Systems and LEP International. His management of Puerto Rico operations of LEP produced over $1M profits to the Corporation. He served as Chief Operating
Officer of Hoffman & Co. and has held senior management positions with Service America Corporation, the Greyhound/Dial Corporation, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Intercontinental Hotels, and BellSouth Corporation.

 

Additionally, Barry is an Executive Residence at Kennesaw State University (KSU) and has served on the Board of Directors of both Georgia Tech’s College of Management and KSU’s Coles College of Business. He currently serves on the President’s Advisory Board of Oglethorpe University and has served on the Small Business Council of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, and elected to the St. Josephs Hospital Advisory Board. The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce nominated Barry as “Outstanding Business Person of the Year.”

 

He currently serves as a guest lecturer at several major universities in the United States and Canada and has published articles in several influential human resource journals He authored a chapter of a college textbook, BUSINESS ACCUMEN II.

 

Barry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech with a double major in management and psychology and a minor in urban sociology. His MBA was earned at Georgia Tech and Georgia State University in the state of Georgia’ first joint enrollment program. Barry is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honor society for business school graduates.

 

Married to Vicki Flink for 45 years, they have one son, David who is CEO of Eye to Eye, a national mentoring organization for children with learning disabilities.

Heleen Grossman

Senior Vice President

Heleen Grossman is a results-oriented executive with over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Sales. She has multifaceted experience with major Fortune 100 companies such as Mars, Inc., Quaker Oats, PepsiCo, and Kimberly Clark.

 

Her current area of focus however is working closely with Senior Leaders within smaller organizations to help them with their Human Resources challenges. This includes audits, compliance, training (including Respectful Workplace training), employee relations, and integrating or creating new procedures and policies to reduce risk in
the organization.

 

Heleen is a native of Atlanta and holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Georgia and a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Georgia State University.

 

She is currently a member of SHRM – The Society of HR Management (National and Atlanta Chapter), Professional Women’s Network, a mentor for Pathbuilders (a mentoring organization for women), member of several Chambers and Networking Alliances, and a volunteer in her community for many local programs and projects.

Mary Ann Haskins

HR Consultant

Mary Ann is an experienced, senior human resources professional with a passion to encourage and support a strengths-based culture in a professional, ethical manner. She uses fresh ideas and proven knowledge to build, develop and transform organizations and staff for optimum operational success. Mary Ann has over 30 years of HR knowledge and is skilled in creating an employee-oriented, high-performance culture while emphasizing goal attainment and superior workforce optimization.

 

Mary Ann’s comprehensive background includes working at major companies like AER Energy Resources and Siebel Systems, which was bought by Oracle. Mary Ann has a very broad knowledge base that contributes to her successful consulting including implementing HR policies, payroll procedures, compliance audits, employee & management training, benefits, payroll, leave administration, compensation analysis, recruiting & talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement.

 

Mary Ann has built multiple start-up HR departments with emphasis on compliance and systems support. This included identifying and implementing HRIS systems and all processes guiding the support and compliance in the HR functions. Jacki Hertenstein

HR Consultant

As a seasoned HR executive, Jacki joined Flex HR and continues her proven and repeated track record of building, leading, and scaling high performing People teams for global, high growth technology companies.

 

Before coming to Flex HR, Jacki’s experience includes building a robust and highly talented HR organization that enabled the business to scale from $1M to 100M+ revenue and expand internationally in two years. She also grew the employee headcount grew from 100 to 2,000 within the same time period which resulted in the sale of the company where she led integration efforts.  In another role, she grew the employee base from 650 to 1500 in over 23 countries in two years.  This included scaling the People function globally and introducing a shared services model for the business as well as leading the integrations of four acquisitions. Other positions she’s held include running global HR for publicly traded and private-equity backed companies.

 

Jacki enjoys the Chief People Officer role where she builds and oversees all the people operations, business partners, total rewards, HRIS, talent acquisition, talent development, DEIB, Mergers & Acquisitions, and engagement programs to support a company’s growth. She is very knowledgeable in directing operations on a global level with experience with Global People Teams and heading up Global HR departments.

 

Jacki received her Bachelor’s Degree from State University of NY and her Masters in HRD, from Georgia State University.  She is originally from upstate NY, but has lived in Atlanta for over 25 years.  Jacki is an avid Buffalo Bills fan, loves to travel, and is an animal rescue advocate.

Stephanie Ledford

HR Consultant

Stephanie is a high-performing human resources and recruitment professional coming to Flex HR with over 15 years of HR generalist, employee relations, training and development, and recruiting/talent acquisition experience. Her strengths include affiliating HR strategy to organizational and departmental goals, combating personnel issues and organizational development that align with organizational mission, vision, and values.

 

Although her HR passion is HR policies and procedures, Stephanie is also experienced in talent acquisition, employee relations, employee engagement, training and leadership development, benefits and compensation, employment and labor compliance, performance review processes, and human capital management.

 

Receiving her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Kentucky, Stephanie then earned her Master of Science in Human Resources at Western Carolina University. She also is certified with the Society of Human Resource Management and remains a member.

 

Stephanie resides in Florida with her husband and two young boys. She enjoys running and in her free time, makes iced cookies for friends, family, and sometimes clients!

Steve Lovig

HR Consultant

Steve Lovig comes to Flex HR as an accomplished Human Resources Executive with a passion for helping organizations create healthy and supportive work cultures. Nicknamed “Captain HR,” his experience demonstrates his abilities to improve organizational performance and promote a positive work environment. In addition to his HR roles, Steve is a former Adjunct Professor, writer and podcast host, and DJ at a few radio stations, including WSB-FM in Atlanta.

 

In his HR role, he has created impactful People Practices, including developing and implementing human capital management programs, leadership coaching and communication training for managers, forming Employee Rewards and Recognition programs. Steve’s key expertise includes leading business turnarounds, developing innovative talent sourcing and acquisition solutions, directing performance management and improvements, and creating impactful policy design to positively impact employee engagement.

Teresa Monday joined Flex HR, Inc. at the beginning of 2009, to lead the Recruiting/Executive Search efforts for all Flex HR’s Clients. Teresa’s responsibilities include managing the recruiting process, consulting with our clients on new hiring needs, talent acquisition, on-boarding and future talent growth planning with our clients. Teresa or a member of her team also works virtually or at our client’s sites as needed on a consulting basis part time when a full time recruiter is not needed year round.

 

Teresa is a proven and accomplished Recruiting professional with over 20 years of experience providing consultative services including both Corporate and the Staffing Industry to include 12 years of Management experience. Working both sides within recruiting industry, she has been able to provide upscale candidates to all her clients past and present regardless of industry or position.

Stephanie Whitney

In her HR roles, Stephanie regularly partnered with senior leaders in the organization designing and managing performance management, compensation and succession programs, onboarding and terminating team members, delivering training programs, as well as complex employee relaions and compliance support. Additionally, as a certified Professional Coach, Stephanie provided formalized coaching to leaders and high performing individual contributors to accelerate their success and contributions. Stephanie has the unique ability to easily move from broad strategy design to rolling up her sleeves and focusing on the details. Prior to her roles in HR, Stephanie worked in marketing and sales and understands the importance of ensuring the HR strategy aligns with business goals.

Jennifer is also a retired Major, having worked in personnel and health administration in the Illinois Air National Guard until her retirement in 2018.
