Are you among one of the estimated 17.5 million employees missing work on Monday after the Super Bowl? According to a survey by the Workforce Institute at Kronos Inc., it’s the largest amount ever since the institute began tracking in 2005. Often referred to as the “Super Bowl Fever,” in 2017 there was actually a time when the public started a petition contending the day after the Super Bowl to become a National holiday. As a matter of fact, most businesses do operate as usual, and those that choose to take Monday off will need to use a day from their Paid Time Off (PTO) accumulation.
