Doris Coleman, Senior Vice President
Doris Coleman is a seasoned HR professional with more than 30 years of diverse experience in Human Resources. Her broad-based human resources experience has encompassed all of the functional areas of human resources including recruitment and selection, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, training, drug and alcohol testing, policy and procedure development and implantation, HRIS, AA/EEO, workers' compensation, acquisitions and mergers, incentive planning and corporate communications.
Throughout her career, she has worked collaboratively with senior management to provide strategic HR leadership to dynamic, growing and geographically dispersed organizations, and have helped translate the company's business strategies into organizational capabilities and action plans.
Her work experiences have been in a variety of challenging and interesting work environments and she has spent the last fifteen (15) years where she was employed in senior level management positions in HR. Her specialty is in start-up organizations, change management, and organizational development. Her expertise has been in the start-up and re-design of HR departments.
Additionally, Doris has solid negotiation and facilitation skills, a strong background in employment law and extensive experience with multi-state and international employment law and regulations. She has served as an adjunct instructor at Lord Fairfax Community College and has been a frequent speaker at seminars and workshops and a participant on numerous panels.
Doris holds an undergraduate degree from D.C. Teacher's College and is a graduate of the Antioch School of Law (M.A.) with a specialty in Employment Law. She has served on various boards and is currently a member of the Smyrna Business Association, Atlanta Women in Business, Atlanta Women's Network, Women in Aviation, and the Society of Human Resources Management.
